Junior League Plans big ‘09 season

27 Nov, 2008 07:13 AM
The first meeting of the new Oberon Junion Rugby League committee was held on November 12.

Under 7’s, 8’s and 9’s will play in Bathurst and Oberon only in the 2009 season. This will be enjoyable for players and parents. More information will be provided later.

Expressions of interest for coaching positions are now being sought and can be forwarded to PO Box 341, Oberon.

The club plans to field several teams again next season. This would not be possible without the support of our generous sponsors including:

Barkers Butchers, Barts Earthmoving, Bindo Creek Cabins, Dark Red Frames and Trusses, Gibbons and Saul, JELD-WEN, Moorhead Engineering, Multi-work Constructions, Oberon Concrete, Oberon Foodworks, Oberon Pies and Pastries, Oberon Smash Repairs, Oliver’s Sandblasting, Phil Campbell Transport, and Varlas Automotive.

The next meeting of the committee will be held at the Oberon Leagues Club on January 14 and all club supporters will be welcome to attend. The club congratulates everyone involved with the success of the Tigers presentation night. It was a great event. All juniors are encouraged to watch the documentary DVD.

Merry Christmas and safe holidays. See you in 2009. Proud to be a Tiger.
