Errors costly for senior Tigers team

27 May, 2010 09:37 AM
The Oberon Tigers suffered their first defeat of the season last Saturday, going down to Kandos. The Tigers were pumped up and ready for a big game but errors and lack of concentration proved costly. By half time the Tigers down 20-nil.

In the second half the Tigers played better football – our defence was a lot stronger and the team displayed better ball work.

Dallas Booth broke through the Kandos defence and scored a mighty try which was converted by Shaun O'Neil. Final score Tigers 6, Kandos 26.

Brian Maher, Cheyne Barker and Scott Hawken had a big game. Tries were scored by Dallas Booth 1. Conversion Shaun O'Neil 1. Next week we face Portland at their home ground. The Tigers would thank all our sponsors for your continued support.

Centennial Cup results: Lithgow 76 d Portland 10, Wallerawang 30 d Villages United 4, Kandos 26 d Oberon 6, Blackheath 24 d St Pats 18.
