WITH a general rugby league bye last weekend Oberon Tigers made the most of the free time by working on injuries and freshening up for the coming weeks of the Group 10 competition.
The Tigers will travel to Wallerawang on Saturday with a 2.30pm kick-off for their last game of the first round.
A win there would see the Tigers start the second round against Villages United on June 26 at Carrington Park, Bathurst.
On Saturday, July 3, the Tigers will be back in Oberon against St Pat’s with the kick-off at 2:30pm.
Promotions for this game will focus on thanking sponsors and supporters.
Thank you to the Oberon community and small businesses, especially the major sponsors, Cut 'N' Groove Construction, Bathurst Toyota, Saul's Grading Services, Oberon Quarries, Oliver Sand Blasting.
Supporters are urged to come along and enjoy the Tigers’ football and the hospitality at the recently acquired community Rugby League Football ground. The ground is now part of Oberon Council sports and recreational facilities now known as The Oberon Sports Complex.
On Saturday, July 24, the Tigers will host a special day with the Oberon Junior Rugby League – Yellow Ribbon Day will be a full day of league to support the fight against cancer in men.
The club is looking forward to this day as it will provide an opportunity to work with the community and support this worthwhile charity.
Everyone in the Oberon community, especially those who love the game of rugby league, will be welcome.
Come along and become involved with a club of great tradition, on and off the field.
