THIS happy group celebrated Oberon Women’s Bowlers’ 45th birthday in style at the RSL Club last Wednesday.
They dressed up to the nines in new uniforms and gathered around a number 45 represented with bowling balls on the green to mark the special milestone.
After a delicious morning tea the women assembled for photographs and then 36 members and guests played some enjoyable bowls.
Later those involved in the celebration headed to the clubhouse where the dining room was beautifully decorated. Holding pride of place was the 45th birthday cake, on a table covered with a special commemorative cloth.
The birthday cake was presented to the club by presiden, Peg, and the names of all past and present member had been embroidered on the cloth.
Representatives from all district clubs, some foundation members and former club members all received a special welcome.
