Peggy scores well at district bowls day

11 Sep, 2008 08:25 AM
OBERON’S Peggy McIntosh was among more than 50 lady bowlers who travelled to Portland recently to attend the annual presentation day of the Western District Womens Bowling Association.

After being welcomed by President Bev Milton, bowlers adjourned to the greens where seven lucky ladies won the “spider”awards.

Spider winners are Pat Pollard, Annette McPherson (Bathurst City Panthers), Carol Doggett, Sue Holt (Wallerawang), Irene Watkins, Margaret Ferguson and Carol Lord (Lithgow City).

A pleasant morning of bowls was played followed by lunch, catered for by the Portland ladies. Peggy McIntosh was among the winners awarded on the day.

Peggy was also selected in the Buxton Trophy team.

Well done Peggy!
