Oberon United Football Club calls for volunteers and ideas

28 Jan, 2010 08:15 AM
On Friday January 29 at 7pm at the Royal Hotel, the club will be holding a meeting to finalise dates for this season.

Registration dates will be a high priority at this meeting.

The club is still searching for volunteers to join the committee, and the positions of senior vice president, senior and junior registrars, and canteen manager need to be filled to ensure a successful season.

Any player or parent is invited to attend the meeting.

Nominations for coaching positions are now being called for and any applications can

be delivered at the meeting or

call Clinton Corby (6336 0191).

Fundraising ideas for the 2010 season will also be discussed at the meeting.

Fundraising is a vital function for the club to survive and last year a handful of ladies did a marvellous job.

If anybody has any ideas please come and present them at the meeting.

Men’s training will commence Friday, February 5 at the Recreation Ground beginning at 6.30pm.

All players from last year are invited to come along for a light session and a kick around.

Anybody new to the game or town, come on down and meet a great bunch, we take all ages.
