Oberon riders go well at zone titles

OBERON Pony Club hosted the Zone Three Mounted Games Championships on May 23.

Nine teams, including four from Oberon, competed. Riders came from Bathurst, Lithgow, Oberon and Megalong Valley pony clubs.

Results are:

The Strikers (under l2years) – Rosie Forsyth, Danielle Fisher, Jarkiya Whitfeld and Georgia Butt finished fourth overall; The Manhattens (12 to 17 years) – Alex Hooper, Georgie Simcock, Shannon Fisher, Sophie Jones and Henry Jones finished third overall; The Spicy Hedge Hogs (12 to l7 years) – Benita Dwyer, Korine Williams, Phoebe Suttor, Jarita Hopwood and Madison Jones finished first and received the highest overall pointscore trophy. The Rough Riders (17 to 25 years) – Mikaela Sherlock, Kristina Ivers, Kurt Booth, Emma Whalan and Tim Booth finished first overall. Next rally day, July 4.
