Oberon gymkhana sets high standard

Oberon Pony Club held its annual Gymkhana on November 20 with around 35 riders competing. Riders travelled from Bathurst, Orange, Lithgow, Blue Mountains, Rylstone, Cudal and Oberon.

Thankyou to sponsors, judges, stewards and helpers who made the day a success.

Georgie Simcock won the E Grade Showjumping, Benita Dwyer won D Grade Showjumping and Mikaela Sherlock won C grade Showjumping.

Emma Whalan received the highest local sporting pointscore and the highest local overall pointscore trophies.

Ashleigh Flynn, Rosie Forsyth, Brooklyn Hotham, Lydia and Ivy Moore also represented Oberon winning many ribbons.

Mikaela Sherlock recently received the Keith Lowe Award which recognises selected members of the NSW Association for their constant practical service and assistance within the club.

Ben Luther and Emma Whalan have received the award in previous years. Congratulations to Mikaela.

The club’s last rally day for the year and the presentations were held on December 4. Award winners:

Evelyn Wilcox Memorial Award: Mikaela Sherlock and Emma Whalan.

Most Improved Junior: Ivy Moore.

Most Improved Senior: Benita Dwyer.

Highest pointscore: Mikaela Sherlock.

Club Person of the Year: Leanne Dwyer.
