The team played two games on Saturday winning the second 4-0. On Sunday they won 5-2. The Oberon team of Kim and Natalie Lynch, Jess Tomlinson, Ian and Patrick Webber and Harry Phillips played thee games over the two days.
Dunedoo put up some good defence in the first match but they were no match for Oberon who went on to win 15-5.
In game two on the Saturday Oberon was again too strong for the Wanderers.
Jess Tomlinson had to play hard to overcome great defence from visiting Irish player Cormac McEvoy, who made it difficult for her to score.
The Webber/Phillips section played hard and fast with well practiced ball and racquet skills adding many goals to the game.
Oberon defeated the Wanderers 12-3. Game three on the Sunday was against Gulgong.
Kim and Natalie Lynch had good control over this game feeding the ball to Tomlinson and providing strong defence to allow Oberon to again win 13-2.
As on Saturday the Webber/Phillips section played fast chukka’s with good defence not allowing Gulgong to build on their score.
Oberon went on to win the grade and the team members are looking forward to playing together again for the last two carnivals of the year.
