Great Nambucca fishing

30 Jul, 2009 09:28 AM
Hello fisherpersons. We have had some good falls of rain around locally.

We recently visited Nambucca Heads

and haven’t they had some rain there, Macksville golf course is partially closed due to flooding.

The fishing on the other hand was exceptional; we fished almost every day and had some very good hauls. Between six blokes and two boats we managed to bring home over 30 fish each.

Peta Brennan and I managed to get our names down for fish of the month with a 4.6 kilograms and a 6.1 kilograms snapper (I caught the big one). Dave Elwin (GM) and Peter Harvey landed some very good-size snapper, around the 2-3 kilogram range, where as Jimmy D and KT concentrated on flathead and sharks.

We learnt a few boating tips from Jimmy D and KT – whenever you launch your boat whether on the beach or off a ramp its always good practice to have water underneath the boat, it floats better.

The next club meeting is at 6.30 on the August 27. Krazy Horse.
