THE third round of the women’s golf championships was played in beautiful autumn conditions last Wednesday.
Division One winner in the stroke event was Robyn Slattery with a nett score of 69. Joan Graham was second on a countback with 73, and Stella McGrath was third. Joan also won the putting with an excellent 26 putts.
The Division Two winner was Wilma Artery with 72 strokes. Helen Toohill was second with 73 and Bev Dale was third with 77. Wilma also won the putting with 29 putts. Trophies for the stroke competition were donated by Elizabeth Pollock.
A stableford event was also played for trophies donated by Pat Arrow. Joan Sullivan was the winner and Mary Miller was second.
On April 1there will be monthly medal and Goodwill Plate competitions and on Wednesday, April 8, there will be an 18 hole stableford round.
For those who like a challenge there will be a three-stick stableford event on Wednesday, April 15.
