Darts Club raises $300 for CanAssist

23 Jul, 2009 09:05 AM
The OBERON darts fun night was a great success with a good roll-up of players.

All games were played as doubles due to the number of players. Thanks to the support of players we have raised over $300 on the night for the Can Assist program.

Club thanks go to the RSL Club who hosted the event and donated prizes.

Other donations were received from Rosedale Gifts, Arrows News Agency, Flair Hair Studio and Oberon Pharmacy.

Thanks also to Kay Haslop who organised this event. Winners of the door raffle are: Don Miller, Kevin Whalan, Bob Lawson and Alan Whale.

Winners of the darts night are: Trevor Williams and Bob Lawson who defeated Lynne Barlow and David Casey. Lynne Barlow also had the highest score with 133.

A reminder to all players and teams who plan to play in the winter competition - this is your last week to register. Please fill out a form at your local club or pub, or call Sonja on 6336 1791.
