THE Oberon Darts Club singles competition attracted 17 players last Tuesday night. All games are best of three with winners advancing to A grade and the runners-ups to B grade. Several games were very close and only came down to throwing a double for the win.
A grade saw a shootout between two Lucky7s players Luke Hayden and Chilli Curry, with Chilly as the victor. B Grade was another Lucky7s team member, Dave King Jr, and Skylarks member Lyn Barlow.
This match up was won by Lyn who had a cheer squad of our woman players. All players should be proud of their performances and we hope to see these and extra players for the doubles competition at the end of round two.
The final results are:
A grade - Chilly Curry d Luke Hayden.
B grade - Lyn Barlow d Dave King Jr.
Highest scorer was Dave King Jr with 140.
Lowest score was Lyn Barlow with only 1.
Highest Peg-out was Dave King Jr needing 67, throwing a 17 and bullseye for the win.
The winners and runners-up of A and B grades were presented with prizemoney. Other winners were presented with prizes kindly donated by The Royal Hotel and the RSL Club.
Keep your darts sharp and your aim straight.
