Cleton wins A grade golf

ALMOST 50 players contested an 18 hole par for trophies donated by Dick O’Donnell on Saturday.

The winner in ‘A’ grade was Keith Cleton with plus seven the runner up was Scott Rowlandson with plus six.

In ‘B’ grade the winner was Tom McKinnon with plus seven the runner up was Joe Moio with plus two.

We also played the mixed foursomes championships on Saturday the scratch winners were Robert McGrath and Sue Webb with 127 the handicap winners were Barry Lang and Katie Graham with 1043/4 nett

Nearest to the pin winners were on the first it was Barry Lang with 4-40mts. On the seventh it was John Ryan with 78cm on the ninth it was Kyall Ryan with 64cm and on the 17th it was Cornelius Van Dyk with 1-25mts

Balls for ability went to Mike Carlin, Kim Rawlings, Graham Hotham, Dick Foran, Kurt Armstrong, Brian Balaam and Blake Miller

Thursday golf the winner was Bill Dawson with 30 points balls went to Bill Wilcox, Robert Hayden, Alan Sharp and Ralph Harrison

One hundred club winner was John Crichton second Keith Cleton.

Golf this week will be an 18 hole stroke for trophies donated by Mike Carlin forklift traders and also the monthly medals and putting sponsored by John Brien and on November 14 it will be an 18 hole fourball stableford for trophies donated by Doug and Yvonne Collins and also an individual stableford for trophies donated by Ray Ross.
