China tour for junior soccer star

22 Oct, 2009 08:15 AM
OBERON soccer star Boeh Stockdale, 14, is taking the soccer world by storm, travelling to China this week to play in the Youth Football Tour.

Boeh is the goalie of the NSW Development Team travelling to China to take on a number of teams from areas such as Shanghai and Beijing during the 12 day tournament.

Boeh was spotted by selectors while playing for his local Western NSW soccer team, which is based in Bathurst, and competes against metropolitan teams.

While in China and competing in the tournament, Boeh will also get to visit many famous locations, such as the Great Wall of China and the Forbidden City.

Boeh and his family wish to thank Oberon businesses for their donations and the people of Oberon who have supported fund-raising to help Boeh make it to China.

They particularly wish to thank Kristy Eastlake-Rusten for her support.
