OBERON netballer Shanaya Stapleton is celebrating after the under 13s Bathurst representative team took out the State Age title. Shanaya and the team have been training hard for the past 10 months. They won 19 of their 23 games, beating Parkes by only one point.
State age is a three-day competition held in Penrith. The girls had to overcome fatigue on the third day coach Jessica Porter was extremely proud of their effort and their determination.
Jessi Parkin and Kristin Willis were in the 12 rep team which finished third overall. Ashleigh Stevens was in the 15’s team which finished fifth and Hannah Bouchier was in the 14s who had a great carnival as well.
