It’s already time to prepare for netball

11 Feb, 2010 08:17 AM
Although it seems early to be talking about netball, Oberon Netball Club is already calling for registrations in the 2010 BNA competition.

Netball registration days will be held on Thursday, February 18 in front of Mawhoods from 3.30pm to 5pm, and on Saturday, February 27 from 10am to noon.

The club is looking for coaches, team managers and umpires for the season which is due to commence on Saturday, April 24.

These will be the only two opportunities to register for netball this year and all fees MUST be paid on registration as we need to have all team’s registered with their full fees to Bathurst Netball Association in March to be eligible to play.

Netball fees will be the same as last year and the club will again be offering family discounts for 2 or more family members signing up to play.

Uniform for Netta players will be the same as previous years – i.e. gold polo shirt and black pleated skirt.

All juniors and seniors will be required to wear our new uniform. Juniors will pay a deposit of $30 for their top and skirt ($20 of this will be refunded when top and skirt returned at the end of the season).

All players in non-school aged teams will be required to provide their own black skirt and purchase the club top at a cost of $40, if they don’t already have one.

When registering to play for the club you (and the parents/carers of juniors) must agree to abide by the relevant Codes of Conduct and the Oberon Netball Club’s by-laws. Copies of these documents will be available on registration day.

All players (including Netta players) will need to provide a passport- sized photo for their 2010 registration cards.

The club does still have last year’s photos – however some players (particularly juniors) and new players will need to provide a more up-to-date photo.

If you want to be involved in a great team sport get your friends together and come and join us playing netball.
