Paul Finlay was elected president with the senior vice-president, Bruce Fitzpatrick. Other office bearers elected are: secretary — Mark O’Neil, treasurer – Ditmar Sajowitz, selectors – J Taggart, M O’Neil, G Braun, D Evans. Match committee – M O’Neil, D Evans, B Fitzpatrick, and Committee: B Lawson, H Webb and the Braun Family (George, Hans and Karl).

On Saturday July 17, in glorious winter weather, four teams of pairs played semi-finals. There were some hard-fought ends between D. Evans and J. Whittaker who were up against B. Fitzpatrick and M. O’Neil. Des and Jack came home with 23-13 win.

In the match of the day the Braun’s father and son team was up against Jody Taggart and Paul Finlay.

The Brauns learned a lesson, going down 31-12. Yes, Jody and Paul, you are among the best.

At 11am on July 25 a friendly game of bowls will be played and will be open to men and women bowlers and members of the Oberon community. If you are lucky you can win a chicken. Hope to see you at the club.
