In a hard-fought match Jody and Paul downed Des and Jack 26-21. Congratulations to both teams, you both deserved to win.

On Sunday at 11am the club held its friendly chicken run game. The weather was not the best but there were eight bowlers on the green and they played two games of pairs.

The winners of game one were, Dot and Harry and game two went to Dietmar and Karl.

The winner of the chicken was Jane, Gill and George. Bon appetite and congratulations.

On Sunday, August 1 at 11am there will be a social game. Come along and join the fun, you are all invited.

Bowlers please note – Saturday, September 4, the club will have a recruitment drive. All bowlers are urged to bring a friend and don’t let us down. Bowlers are to wear their uniforms; there will be a sausage sizzle at 11am.

On Sunday, September 5, anyone interested in learning more about bowls will be able to access the help of an expert coach who will be at the club to give advise on how to become a good bowler. All bowlers are invited, including ladies. There will be a sausage sizzle after the game – coaching time is to be advised. Happy bowling.
