Ever thought of playing lawn bowls? If yes, you missed out on our last Sunday chicken run. A fun day was had by all eight who turned up. Two games of pairs were played and players could not wish for better weather. The winning team on rink one was Peggy and Gill who defeated Dot and George 18-4. On rink two Chris and Karl defeated Ken and John 10-9.
The lucky winners of the chicken were Chris, Gill and Karl. Congratulations.
A hot cuppa with home-made scones were had after the game. The beautiful weather also brought out Paul, Des, Jack and Mark for an afternoon social game.
Coming events: On Sunday, August 15 join us for a social game, starting at 1pm. Names in by 12.30. Come and join the fun. To all bowlers: Remember the triples championship games are underway.
On August 14, B. Fitzpatrick’s team v K. Kitt’s team at 9am; D. Evans’ team v P. Finlay’s teams at 1pm and G Braun’s team will play the winners of B. Fitzpatrick and K. Kitt match.
September 4 recruitment drive – please bring a friend and don’t let us down.
On Sunday, September 5 at 10am an expert coach who will be at the club to give advice on how to become a good bowler. All bowlers are invited, including lady bowlers.
There will be a sausages sizzle after games on on September 4 and 5.
