OBERON BWG Haulage under 11s hockey side played South's 1 at the weekend coming up with a 9-0 victory. Playing their first game together for the season, the team set the benchmark high.All the girls had a good match with their excellent positional play, plenty of clean trapping and good passing proving too strong for Souths. Goal scorers: Sophie Foley, Danielle Fisher x2, Vanessa Muldoon x2, Emma Oxley x2 and Olivia Sullivan x2, The Oberon First National Real Estate players’ player award went to Sophie Foley, Well done Sophie!

Under 13s

THE Oberon Junior Hockey Highland Pine under 13s had a strong start to the hockey season on Saturday, winning 4-2 over Souths.

The team consists of Meg Booth, Beccy McCusker, Tarah Foley, Sarah Oxley, Keeley Armstrong, Holly

Newson, Jessie Whalan, Eliza Dwyer, Chloe Swannell, Katie Sanders, Shannon Foley and Emma Gascoigne.

The girls played a fantastic attacking game and worked together so well as a team.

It was a great effort and exciting to watch. Holly Newsom was fantastic for her first time in the goalie position well done. Our MPH players player went to Jessie Whalan who played her first game of hockey so this was a fantastic effort by Jessie. Well done girls and thank you to Jaydem our coach. See you all at training.
