Saturday’s Oberon men’s golf was an 18 Hole Individual Stableford for trophies donated by Bill Wilcox, and an 18 Hole Stableford Fourball. In the Individual event Neil Whalan took the A grade on 43 points from John Hackfath on 38 points. Dennis O'Connell with 42 points, took B grade honours on a countback from Tony Ryan. Balls for ability went to B. Fitzpatrick, R. Hayden, A. Poulten, E. Whalan, M. Gibbons, L. Zamparinni, B. Roberts and J. Crichton.
Nearest the pin winners: M. English (first - 83cm), R. Foran (7th - 12cm), N. Evans (ninth- 1.87m) and C. Van Dyk (17th - 1.46m).
In the fourball run in conjunction, the winners were Darryl Whalan and Mick Gibbons with 50 points. Mick McKechnie and Kim Rawlings were second with 48 points. Balls went to W. Sargent and N. Whalan, D. O'Donnell and A. Poulten, D. Collins and D. O'Connell and J. Hackfath and B. Bearup.
Thursday’s golf saw Wayne Sargent take the win with balls going to J. Robinson, K. Plummer and R. Harrison.
Next week’s golf will be an 18 Hole Par for trophies donated by Bart Fitzpatrick Earthmoving.
On June 5 it will be time for the monthly medals and putting in an 18 Hole Stroke for Hayden's Bin Hire trophies.
