OBERON women golfers held an 18 hole stroke event on a slightly warmer and sunny day on Wednesday, July 7.
The Monthly Medal was also contested together with the sixth round of the WGNSW Medal.
Overall winner of the stroke event, Monthly Medal and the putting was Glennie McGrath with Robyn Slattery second and Katie Graham third.
Katie Graham and Jack English represented Oberon High School at the Teachers Day Golf Tournament at Mudgee on July 5. Congratulations to Katie, who won the women’s event and qualified to play in the state final.
The qualifying round participants for the Blue Mountains Medal are Wilma Artery, Yvonne Collins, Joan Graham, Katie Graham, Vicki Keen, Glennie McGrath, Lyn Prowse, Robyn Slattery, Vonda Voytilla and Marjorie Webb.
On July 21 a 3BBB Ladies’ Team Classic 18 hole Par event will be held with trophies by Glennie McGrath. Wednesday, July 28 will be an 18 hole stableford event with trophies by Colleen Saul.
A reminder to members that nominations for committee positions and notices of motion for the annual general meeting on Wednesday, August 4, should be in by 2pm on Tuesday, July 20.
