The weekend prior to the women’s open was marked by wind, rain and snow as well as very cold temperatures. So our women golfers were feeling a little nervous about their open day on November 24.
However, the morning brought warmer temperatures and brilliant sunshine – just perfect for golfing!
The course was in top condition and our visitors were very impressed. There were 52 players in all, 22 from Oberon and the rest came from Cowra, Bathurst, Lithgow, Portland, Blackheath and Springwood.
The whole day’s competition was sponsored by Oberon’s Ray White Real Estate.
