A BIG contingent of players turned out last week for the Oberon Tigers first training session for the new season. Coaches were pleased with the enthusiasm of the players saying it was an encouraging sign for the upcoming competition. It is great to see the loyalty of the under 18’s, who are keen to get the Black and Gold jumper back on.
The documentary “10 out of 12” is receiving high praise from all who have watched the DVD. Most copies have been sold but some are still available at Oberon Video and Disc and the Post Office. There are also two outlets in Bathurst where the DVD can be purchased - Jack Holman’s Men’s Wear and Shorty Nunan’s Panorama Wholesales.
Major jumper sponsors will be finalised this week and the club appreciates all sponsors again for their continued support.
Saturday’s raffle winner was Chris Armstrong.
John Standen, the treasurer from 1975 and 1976 has forwarded his scrapbook to the football club with great information from those years. The book shows balance sheets, programs and clippings from news papers. A very special thank you to John.
Go Tigers!
