ROBYN SLATTERY, the player who recently scored an eagle two on the par four 11th hole at Oberon golf course, has done it again!
Last Wednesday it was the par five 15th hole that Robyn blitzed in three shots for her second eagle for the year. Well done Robyn!
The women golfers played an 18-hole stableford competition last week for trophies donated by Lurline Robinson.
As well as her eagle on the 15th, Robyn won division 1 with 43 points.
Sue Webb was second with 38 and Stella McGrath third, on a countback, with 34 points. Sue Webb was also nearest to the pin.
Mary Miller won division 2 with 36 points. Maree Arrow was second with 35 points on a countback from Marjorie Webb. Marjorie was nearest to the pin.
The day’s competition also marked the second round of the Arrows Newsagency Eliminator.
Golfers going into the third round are Yvonne Collins and Joan Graham, and Robyn Slattery and Mary Miller.
Members are hoping for fine spring weather for next Monday’s Open Day.
Next Wednesday there will be an 18-hole stroke competition and the closing day for the medal play off.
On Monday, December 1, a number of Oberon women golfers will participate in the finals day at Leura golf course.
