Fourball victory for Billy and Sam Gascoigne

AN 18 hole stableford and a fourball stableford for trophies donated by Barry Lang attracted 48 players on Saturday..

Billy and Sam Gascoigne were the winning team in the fourball with 49 points. Runners-up were John and Tom McKinnon with 47 points.

In the individual stableford the A grade winner was Cornelius Van Dyk with 41 points. The runner-up was Barry Lang with 39 points. In B grade the winner was Doug Collins with 41points and the runner-up was Kevin Plummer with 37.

Nearest to the pin winners: On the 7th Alan Benson with 2.25 m, on the 9th Cornelius Van Dyk with 5.70m.

Balls for ability went to John McKinnon, John Fitzpatrick, Robert Hayden, Scott Rowlandson, John Hackfath, Daryll Whalan, Narayan Rodwell, Sam Gascoigne, Doug Collins, Tom McKinnon, John Crichton, Reg Cunynghame, Joe Moio, Col Brett, Ian Mackenzie, John Fitzpatrick and Narayan Rodwell

The Thursday golf the winner was Steve Paterson with 32 points.

Balls went to Graham Hotham, Jack Robinson, Stan Droder and Alan Sharp.

Golf this week will be an 18 hole par for trophies donated by Dick O’Donnell and also the mixed foursomes championships. On November 7 it will be an 18 hole stroke for trophies donated by Mike Carlin Forklift Traders.
