Ladies 3rd Grade defeat Collegians

28 Apr, 2008 10:48 AM
On the 20th April Oberon United 3rd Grade ladies took on Collegians in a very exciting game of soccer. Everyone on the field had a fantastic game and were in good spirits to take on the challenge of the Collegian girls. The mids did not stop running all day with some great passes through to the forwards and defending when needed. The forwards did an excellent job shooting at the goal and following through to the end and by half time Renee Newstead got one into the back of the net.

The girls went back on for the second half full of energy resulting in a great pass from Brooke Elliott to Renee for Renee to score. Then with in minutes with some great passing Renee had third goal, well done Renee.

Emily Newstead played well all game so it was good to see her also getting a great goal. Oberon backs were awesome keeping Collegians scoreless. They could not break through Oberons defence. All the backs should be proud of themselves. Great effort by everyone. Oberon United 4 defeated Collegians 0. See you all next week when we take on Pandas.
