Connor's a role model for students

Connor Sherlock has been named Oberon’s Australia Day Sportsperson of the Year.

Connor was selected in the open boys western volleyball team and at the conclusion of that carnival was then selected in the NSW CHS boys volleyball team, competing in the Australian titles. Connor also plays in the NSW volleyball team.

Connor was selected in the western athletic team and competed at the state carnival. He won both the discus and shot put events, breaking a record in the shot put.

He then went on to achieve first place in all schools discus and shot put 2011.

Connor received a Blue Award NSW CHS for athletics, which is one of the highest awards given for combined schools in NSW.

Connor was school captain at Oberon High School in 2011 and is an excellent role model for students at the school.
