OBERON’S unique and lovely delicacies and goodies will be showcased once again as soon as spring shows its lush little head, with the monthly Spring Farmers’ Markets beginning in September.
The Farmer’s Markets are planned to occur on the first Saturday of every month until May, with the markets ceasing during the cold winter months.
The markets showcase such a delightful blend of wonderful produce from locations along The Tablelands Way, which stretches from Goulburn to the Hunter Valley, bringing with it a great range of unique produce.
Who would have believed there could have been this many lovely goodies in one location?
The range of produce is amazing, including fruit and vegetables, freshly-roasted coffee, cakes, preserves and jams and olives.
Hand-made chocolates are featured for those looking for a treat.
The markets also showcase a range of fantastic handmade pieces, such as hand-knitted garments, chemical free beauty products, jewellery, recycled denim bags, scrap booking, and even plants and garden ornaments made from recycled fence palings.
Lynne Woods, a representative of the stall holders, said that the range and quality of the local produce and goodies is quite remarkable, and it is a wonderful time to socialise in Oberon’s beautiful spring weather.
“Come along for a great social experience, and the opportunity to purchase gourmet goodies from the person who created them,” she said.
The first market will be held on Saturday, September 6 from 8am until 1pm at the St. Barnabas Church Grounds.
