Only a few days out from Clean Up Australia Day, it appears some locals are not too concerned about keeping our country or even our local area beautiful.
A pile of rubbish was recently discovered by a resident beside a road in the pine forest near Black Springs.
The load of household rubbish was strewn under the trees in the forestry block at the cemetery, which is one of the closest blocks to the village of Black Springs.
According to the resident, the rubbish had to have been dumped either during Friday or Saturday as it was not there on Friday morning.
The Forestry was contacted by concerned residents on Sunday.
The rubbish was cleared by the Forestry on Monday morning.
Even though Black Springs rubbish tip is open on Wednesdays and Sundays, evidently someone could not wait to get rid of their rubbish or objects to paying a fee for dumping their household rubbish.
Black Springs tip is open on Wednesdays from 2:30-4:30pm and on Sundays from 12:30-2:30pm.
