TARANA resident Muriel Stevens, 88, and her sister Grace Flet-cher have finally had an album containing precious photographs of their grandfather Charles Edward Richards and other relatives returned to them.
Local Lynn Agland has been searching for the owner of the album, after it was passed to her by a man who had received the photographs from a relative. However it is still a mystery how the photographs came to be in the relative's possession.
Some photographs from the album have been published in the Oberon Review in an attempt to find the rightful owner of the album. Muriel saw that one of the photos in the paper depicting two gentleman on rocks in the Fish River near Tarana was very similar to photographs she had of her grandfather on the rock.
It turns out the photos were both taken on the same day from different perspectives.
