Alan is originally from England, and moved to Oberon from Sydney five years ago. He designs and builds houses single-handedly, and the house he is in the process of building on Bailey’s Lane, near Oberon, caught the eye of Freehand TV, who have completed the 13 episode series about owner builders in Australia.
Alan has been working on the house at Oberon for five years, and is about to put the plumbing in.
“I tried to give Oberon a lot of mention,” he said.
The series ‘Owner Builders Australia’ begins on the How To channel, (channel 118) on Austar from Wednesday the 2nd of July 2008 at 7:30pm. The series also focused on a house at Hampton whose walls are built entirely of second-hand tyres.
