Oberon is filled to the brim with fantastic local businesses and employees, and the Oberon Business Association's 2009 Business Awards are an opportunity for Oberon to acknowledge the contribution of these businesses and employees.

There are new categories this year in both the business and employee sections, and businesses can nominate themselves or their employees for awards, as they are often the best observers or employees' work.

Nomination must be in by October 31 and can be either mailed to the Oberon Business Association or dropped off at the Oberon Newsagency, the Oberon Post Office or the Oberon Pharmacy. The winners will be announced at a gala dinner to be held at the RSL Club on Wednesday, December 2.

The next time you are served by a friendly and helpful employee or given that extra bit of help by a local business, make sure you nominate them for an award.

It is a great way to show your appreciation to local businesses and employees for their wonderful service and contribution to the community.
