THE Tablelands Way Farmers Markets are on again this Saturday, August 1.
Once again the lovely grounds at the St Barnabas Church will become festival-like and get bellies rumbling just from the lovely smell of cooking.
Visitors to the markets can as usual expect to be spoilt rotten with a lovely array of treats, with fresh fruits and vegetables, local wines, olives, fresh baked breads, relishes, jams (not the mention the irresistible medlar jelly), pies and cakes, local crafts and art, and freshly roasted coffee.
The markets will include the wonderful produce of Barry Burnes' farm at Wiseman's Creek, with beautiful local potatoes available.
Barry has been growing potatoes at Wiseman's Creek for 25 years, and usually sells them from a trailer at the farm gate, as well as making deliveries.
Come and get an armload of Barry's gorgeous potatoes, and all the delightful goodies available at the markets, while sampling a lovely lamb and local relish roll cooked to perfection by the Oberon Rotary Club and listening to another great static broadcast from Oberon's radio station, Hightop FM.
See you early at the markets.
