Christmas in the shed

30 Jul, 2009 09:14 AM
The Tarana Fire Shed could have been at the North Pole on Saturday night when it was transformed into a winter wonderland for the Tarana Christmas in July Celebrations.

Locals and visitors flocked to the celebrations, and it was not only for the fantastic social group.

The three course Christmas dinner, which was made of lovely hot soups, Christmas turkey with medlar jelly, hams, baked vegetables and of course Lyn Wood’s mouth-watering Christmas pudding and custard had even those stuffed to the brim going back for seconds.

The lucky door prizes were won by Marlene McPhee and Elaine Renshaw, while Debbie Fletcher was the winner of a fantastic hamper and Helen Sebek got second prize in the raffle.

The members of the Tarana fire brigade did a wonderful job on the Christmas dinner, with the food donated by locals.

The social night raised approximately $1800 for the Tarana Fire Shed.
