The Oberon Children’s Centre were winners in the NSW Budget, receiving a $7238 boost to improve their facility.
The centre, which cares for around 20 local children per day, has already made use of the funding, with painting carried out on the exterior of the building and, much to the delight of the staff, a new kitchen has replaced the original kitchen which dated back to the 1970s.
The Centre’s director, Bev Peard, said she was thrilled with the funding and wishes to thank local tradespeople Clem Whalan for carrying out the painting and John from J and K Kitchens for the new kitchen.
