 Candidate extends an open invitation

Candidate extends an open invitation

24 Jul, 2008 01:54 PM
With the Local Government elections looming, it is more important than ever for the Oberon community to get to know all candidates standing for council, whether they are re-standing or are fresh-faced new prospective councillors.

Most importantly, it is crucial that our community knows what all the councillors stand for and what their vision is for our little town.

In this spirit, candidate for Oberon Council Jill Evans is extending an open invitation to the people of Oberon to come and speak to her about their needs and issues, and to ask her any questions.

In the month before the election, Jill will be available down the street one day a week to meet members of the public.

“Tell me your issues and I’ll tell you mine,” Jill said.

Jill said it was a great way to meet one of the candidates up front and ask questions about what she stands for and her passions about the Oberon community.

“Come and meet me and have a coffee and a chat. Don’t be shy,” she said.

The time and place to meet and talk to Jill will be announced shortly.
