Burraga looks to the future

26 Nov, 2009 08:20 AM
A time capsule was buried and special pavers were laid in the Burraga Memorial Park on November 21 as part of a joint community effort.

Oberon Council assisted the laying of the special pavers which recognise past and present residents.

The time capsule was placed in the ground by lifetime resident Mr Leon Booth. He was assisted by another lifetime resident and Oberon councillor, Neil Francis.

The time capsule will be opened in November 2032.

Members of the Burraga community would like to thank all those who worked to make the time-capsule project possible and especially the Oberon Council, the Burraga Public School and members of the Burraga District Community Association.

A big thank you also to all Burraga and district residents who purchased one of the special pavers that were laid for the project.
