Aiden and Benita Clark’s caravan park has been named the state winner of the Holiday Park Accommodation in the TakeABreak.com.au awards, winning over other caravan parks, cabins and camping areas from across NSW.

This the second year in a row that the Jenolan Caravan Park have taken out the state TakeABreak award, which is awarded by the boutique travel website for accommodation providers who

provide outstanding service.

Benita said this award is special because they are judged purely on their service to customers.

“This award means a lot to us. It’s just one of those things. You can’t put a price on customer service,” she said.

Good word of mouth proves to be especially important for the caravan park, who often have visitors from across the state making a special effort to come to Oberon because they have heard from others that the park is a great place to stay.

Benita said it is hard work providing a high standard of service seven days a week, but they are assisted by the help of employee Susan Gibbons, who began cleaning and now helps with office work in the park. Benita said Susan has been a real asset to their business, and embraces the same philosophy as Aiden and Benita.

“We are very fortunate to have her,” she said.

The accommodation at the park has also been boosted by the exceptional new amenities block at the park, which is finally complete and open for use, as well as the made over camp kitchen and barbecue area.

“We have had nothing but rave reviews of the new amenities,” said Benita.

The Jenolan Caravan Park will now be judged against parks from across the country in the national TakeABreak awards, which will be announced in November.
